Fully Committed

What does commitment mean to you? To me it means that you put all your time and energy into making something work. Whatever obstacles you come across, you never give up and you do all you can to get through the tough times. It’s not easy. In fact it’s very difficult. But when you care about something or someone so deeply, you will go out of your way to make sure everything works out.

When beginning any type of weight loss program it takes a lot of commitment. If you start on a program with an I-don’t-care attitude, most likely you will not find success with the program. I was faced with many challenges and obstacles along the way. There were many times I wanted to give up and stop trying because I wasn’t seeing progress as fast as I would like or as much of it either. What I realized is that it takes effort and persistence to keep up the work if I ever wanted to reach my goal.

How committed are you to your relationship with God? Do you spend good, quality time with Him daily? In the same way, in order for us to experience that deep relationship with God we must use our time wisely and actually work at our relationship with Him. Just attending church services is not enough. You have to study your Bible and put into action what God’s Word says. I promise that your life will forever be changed if you become fully committed to building and strengthening your relationship with Him. Just like Galatians 2:20 reads, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

“The probability that we may fail in struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just.”

Abraham Lincoln
